ADVANCED IN PERSON (EARLY) VOTING BEGINS
There shall be a period of advance voting that shall commence on the fourth Monday immediately prior to each primary or election and as soon as possible prior to a runoff from any general election in which there are only state or county candidates on the ballot in the runoff and shall end on the Friday immediately prior to such primary, election or runoff. Advance voting shall be conducted during normal business hours on weekdays during such period. O.C.G.A. § 21-2-385(d)(1)
MANDATORY SATURDAY VOTING
- Sept 2nd, 2023 from 9a.m. to 5p.m.
- Sept 9th, 2023 from 9a.m. to 5p.m.
Voting shall be conducted beginning at 9:00 A.M. and ending at 5:00 P.M. on weekdays, other than observed state holidays, during such period and shall be conducted on the second and third Saturdays during the hours of 9:00 A.M. through 5:00 P.M. and, if the registrar or absentee ballot clerk so chooses, the second Sunday, the third Sunday, or both the second and third Sundays prior to a primary or election during hours determined by the registrar or absentee ballot clerk, but no longer than 7:00 A.M. through 7:00 P.M
OPTIONAL SUNDAY VOTING
- Sept 3rd, 2023 from 7a.m. to 7p.m.
- Sept 10th, 2023 from 7a.m. to 7p.m.
Voting may be conducted if the board of registrars so chooses on the second and third Sunday, or both the second and third Sundays prior to a primary or election during hours determined by the registrar or absentee ballot clerk, but no longer than 7:00 A.M. through 7:00 P.M. Deadline to Submit an Absentee Ballot Application for the Sept 19th 2023 Election

To be timely received, an application for an absentee-by-mail ballot shall be received by the board of registrars or absentee ballot clerk no later than 11 days prior to the primary, election, or runoff. For advance voting in person, the application shall be made within the time period set forth in subsection (d) of Code Section 21-2-385. O.C.G.A. § 21-2-381(a)(1)(A)

Deadline for Candidates to Designate Poll Watchers for the Sept 19th 2023 Special Election
PLEASE CONTACT YOUR LOCAL COUNTY REPUBLICAN PARTY TO VOLUNTEER AS A POLL WATCHER!
In an election or run-off election, candidates running in a nonpartisan election shall be entitled to designate one poll watcher in each precinct, at least seven days prior to such election or run-off election. O.C.G.A. § 21-2-408(b)(1)

POLLS ARE OPEN
Polls open at 7:00am and close at 7:00pm. O.C.G.A. § 21-2-403
OFFICE OF REGISTRAR AND SUPERINTENDENT TO REMAIN OPEN
The chairman of the county board of registrars and the election superintendent shall cause their office(s) to remain open during the entire duration of each primary and election, and after the close of the polls, until completion of their duties. O.C.G.A. § 21-2-490
TABULATION, POSTING, ETC.
The poll manager shall post one tape showing the total votes cast for the precinct on the door of the polling place for the information of the public along with a copy of the provisional ballot recap sheet for the precinct.
The election superintendent shall receive the memory cards from the poll managers and proceed to verify that the envelopes are sealed, remove each memory card and transfer the vote totals from the memory card to the election management system. O.C.G.A § 21-2-379.11(g); SEB Rule 183-1-12-.12
10PM REPORT DUE TO SECERTARY OF STATE
As soon as possible but not later than 10:00 P.M. following the close of the polls on the day of a primary, election, or runoff, the election superintendent shall report to the Secretary of State and post in a prominent public place the following information: (1) The number of ballots cast at the polls on the day of the primary, election, or runoff, including provisional ballots cast; (2) The total number of absentee ballots returned to the board of registrars by the deadline to receive such absentee ballots on the day of the primary, election, or runoff. Deadline for Voter Registration for the Nov 7th 2023 Election

The last day for a person to register and be eligible to vote in the general/special election and runoff shall be at the close of business on the fifth Monday prior to the date of the election. O.C.G.A. §§ 21-2-224; 21-2-501
The last day for an elector to change his/her address if he/she has moved within the county to an address different from the address shown on the voter’s registration card is the fifth Monday prior to the election. It is the duty of the elector to notify the board of registrars by this date in order for the elector to be placed in the correct precinct and for the elector’s name to be placed on the correct list of electors. An elector who moves within the county but into a different precinct or moves within the same precinct, but to a different address, and fails to notify the board of registrars of this change by the fifth Monday prior to the primary or election shall vote in the precinct of elector’s previous residence for the primary or election and any ensuing runoff. Such elector shall complete a change of address card at the polls. O.C.G.A. § 21-2-218

Oct 17th 2023 Special Election Runoff

A runoff in the case of a special election shall be held on the twenty-eighth day after the day of holding the preceding special election. O.C.G.A. § 21-2-501
