Deadline for Candidates to Designate Poll Watchers for the Nov 7th 2023 Election
PLEASE CONTACT YOUR LOCAL COUNTY REPUBLICAN PARTY TO VOLUNTEER AS A POLL WATCHER!
In an election or run-off election, candidates running in a nonpartisan election shall be entitled to designate one poll watcher in each precinct, at least seven days prior to such election or run-off election. O.C.G.A. § 21-2-408(b)(1)

POLLS ARE OPEN
Polls open at 7:00am and close at 7:00pm. O.C.G.A. § 21-2-403
OFFICE OF REGISTRAR AND SUPERINTENDENT TO REMAIN OPEN
The chairman of the county board of registrars and the election superintendent shall cause their office(s) to remain open during the entire duration of each primary and election, and after the close of the polls, until completion of their duties. O.C.G.A. § 21-2-490
TABULATION, POSTING, ETC.
The poll manager shall post one tape showing the total votes cast for the precinct on the door of the polling place for the information of the public along with a copy of the provisional ballot recap sheet for the precinct.
The election superintendent shall receive the memory cards from the poll managers and proceed to verify that the envelopes are sealed, remove each memory card and transfer the vote totals from the memory card to the election management system. O.C.G.A § 21-2-379.11(g); SEB Rule 183-1-12-.12
10PM REPORT DUE TO SECRETARY OF STATE
As soon as possible but not later than 10:00 P.M. following the close of the polls on the day of a primary, election, or runoff, the election superintendent shall report to the Secretary of State and post in a prominent public place the following information: (1) The number of ballots cast at the polls on the day of the primary, election, or runoff, including provisional ballots cast; (2) The total number of absentee ballots returned to the board of registrars by the deadline to receive such absentee ballots on the day of the primary, election, or runoff. Deadline to Submit an Absentee Ballot Application for the Dec 5th 2023 Runoff
PLEASE VISIT YOUR LOCAL COUNTY ELECTIONS AND REGISTRATION BOARD WEBSITE FOR MORE INFORMATION!
To be timely received, an application for an absentee-by-mail ballot shall be received by the board of registrars or absentee ballot clerk no later than 11 days prior to the primary, election, or runoff. For advance voting in person, the application shall be made within the time period set forth in subsection (d) of Code Section 21-2-385. O.C.G.A. § 21-2-381(a)(1)(A) – Date moved due to state holiday on November 24, 2023.

Early Voting for the Dec 5th 2023 Runoff Begins
PLEASE VISIT YOUR LOCAL COUNTY ELECTIONS AND REGISTRATION BOARD WEBSITE FOR MORE INFORMATION!
Advance voting that shall commence on the fourth Monday immediately prior to each primary or election and as soon as possible prior to a runoff from any general election in which there are only state or county candidates on the ballot in the runoff and shall end on the Friday immediately prior to such primary, election or runoff. Advance voting shall be conducted during normal business hours on weekdays during such period. O.C.G.A. § 21-2-385(d)(1)
FIRST DAY TO MAIL ABSENTEE BALLOTS
In the case of special elections, the board of registrars shall mail or issue official absentee ballots to all eligible applicants as soon as possible prior to any runoff. O.C.G.A. § 21-2-384(a)
